This has got to be one of the best [NO PLAN] weekends we have had in a while!! Our weekends are pretty jammed pack with activities... but this was one of the few where we could do what we wanted, when we wanted...
awww, so nice :)
First, on Saturday we needed to take our cars into service. Long story short - we have decided NOT to go to Toyota
Servco for service anymore - and CHOSE to return to our old mechanic,
Naka'z Auto... so we dropped off the cars and took the pups for a walk around
Waipi'o. We visited their groomer, Karen (Best Friends) and walked down to McDonald's...

This is our little picnic on the lawn so the pups can run around :)

Then we went home - did our chores, I cleaned the bathrooms and
Bri vacuumed and shampooed our carpet! Believe me, both were MUCH NEEDED!! Our home smelt so much better after a good cleaning!
Next stop-
KAHUKU - for one of our favorite "date" places - Giovanni's Garlic Shrimp!! SO ONO!!

You can see
Nai'a in the back seat!
Bri insisted they be included in our date :)

Before we DUG into the action...

Look at Dallas getting into the action!!

SO YUMMY!! Can't you j
ust taste it!! -- I still can!
LOL
Gotta love the chickens!!!

Then on Sunday -
Bri washed our cars and I worked and sent off my latest LED project to my client ... so to reward ourselves for our
hardwork - we went to "connect" with my Chinese Heritage - aka, went to Chinatown!

As we were walking through Chinatown, I was telling
Bri about my different childhood memories with my Papa and Grandma... I miss them so much and today got kind of emotional for me... but this is
O'ahu market, one of the places that they would take me when I was younger.

This was one of Papa's favorite places to go shopping on the weekend. One story I remember about
O'ahu Market was when my Papa, Grandma and me were walking through here and Papa told me and Grandma to stay 'put' (pretty much where we took this picture) because he had to go back to the car, he forgot something - I told him I wanted to go with him, but he said that he would be walking way to fast for me to keep up... I told him I could do it... but no
arguing with Papa. I ended up crying while waiting with Grandma. It really wasn't THAT bad, but I always wanted to be with my Papa... so it felt like forever. But once he returned, all was well and we continued shopping...
We headed over to River Street, because earlier in the day, :Dave
Miyamoto and I were talking about good
Pho - so of course I got hungry for it! So we headed over to one of the good Pho places that we knew of, and what do we find ... a SUPER LONG LINE! So we decided to try something new ...

Golden River Restaurant...

MAN, IT WAS ONO!!!! This is the Rice Noodle with Seafood in Soup! BROKE DA
MOUT!

Then we went cruising around - looking for different places to do future shoots...

(thanks :Dave and Michelle for this lead)!! LOVE THIS WALL!!
Me as a Chinese Native!

Thanks for enjoying our special weekend with us :) Can't wait to see what's up next...
